Scope of Position

Reporting to theDirector of Marketing Communications the Creative Lead will beresponsible for managing the hotels creative projects frominception to completion and for bringing ideas to life using theirdesign and illustration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Developmaster visual concepts in line with the internal creative brief andthe campaigns objectives.
  • Fulfil general designrequests artworking supply of materials and daytoday designneeds.
  • Designs graphics for projectillustrations but not limited to logos brochures EDMs social mediawebsite layouts touchpoints advertisements brochures signagepresentations and all other marketing collateral for the hotel andresidences.
  • Reviews and proofreads designsbefore printing or publishing to ensure accurate highqualitywork.
  • Photo editing and/or retouching for weband print.
  • Uses innovation to redefine a designbrief.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge ofindustry software and technologies
  • Coordinateswith industry professionals such as (but not limited to)copywriters photographers web developers printers and eventorganizers.
  • Liaises with printers to ensureaccuracy and general print supervision.
  • MeetsMarketing Department work standards by following productionproductivity and quality guidelines.
  • Trackssubmission deadlines and presents final artwork as per specifiedrequirements.
  • Collaborate brainstorm andprovide graphic design support to the various hoteldepartments.
  • Monitor the progress of allprojects providing continuous statusupdates.
  • Adhere to Mandarin Oriental HotelGroups brand guidelines in all designprojects.
  • Ensure that the corporate BCM manualsare kept uptodate and implemented asappropriate.
  • Supervise production of the hotelsinternal and external collaterals as per the brandsstandards.
  • Manage relationships with externalprinters and suppliers to always ensure qualitycontrol.
  • Coordinate the display and removal ofall promotional materials within the hotelpremises
  • Update and maintain databases ofdesigns photography and video assets.
  • Adhere toall standards policies and procedures (SOPsetc.).
  • Maintain the inventory and ordering ofcollaterals and design kits.
  • Supportdepartments with photo or video shoots
  • Beenergetic enthusiastic resourceful helpful and passionate to exceedexpectations.
  • Immaculately groomed andarticulate with a highly professionalappearance.
  • Demonstrate business ethics andpersonal integrity.
  • Approach work with a senseof urgency and purpose.
  • Allocate time andresources effectively when faced with competingdemands.
  • Communicate internally and externallywith concerned parties to determine layout designs andimplementation procedures.
  • Stay up to date withlatest graphic design software and techniques to accordinglyrecommend tools that can be efficientlyapplied.

Skills &Qualifications

  • Bachelorsdegree in graphic design or any other design related educationcertification.
  • Advanced in all Adobe Programmes(Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign/Acrobat/Dreamweaver HTML CSS andworking knowledge of MS Office and interactive mediaproduction.
  • A solutionoriented collaborativeproactive individual with strong communicationskills
  • A flexible and resilient approach withthe ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced anddemanding environment.
  • Minimum 3 years ofexperience working in a 5star hotel luxury retail hospitalityagency or marketing environment in a similarrole.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices ofgraphic design
  • Previous working experience inthe Middle East is an advantage
  • Sound knowledgeof all media forms drafting creative briefs campaign developmentimplementation and measurement
  • Creative and acritical trained eye for creativereview
  • Proficiency in digital marketing andsocial media
  • Nuanced inluxury
  • Strong project managementskills
  • Ability to work under pressure andagainst tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work as ateam player in a highperformanceteam
