The environment of JointSpace has been shaped in such a way to provide patients theopportunity to understand their bodies and to learn how to developlongevity in their health through supporting clinical modalitiesmovement practices andeducation.

Thecore practices and focus of Joint Space are physical therapies suchas Osteopathic medicine Physiotherapy Chiropractic medicinepractices such as Naturopathic medicine Functional medicine andRegenerative medicine movement wellness and sports performancepractices and education for patients and healthcareprofessionals.

JointSpace is looking to grow a team of medical professionals whounderstand the integrative nature of medicine movement andeducation and how they are all linked in order to achieve longevityand sustainable health for our patients. Currently Joint Space islooking for experienced Physiotherapists whoshare this understanding have the appetite to work alongside otherhealthcare professionals who share the same motivation and to guidepatients along the path to longevity and sustainablehealth.

1.Jobpurpose:


Physiotherapistsevaluate assess diagnose treat and aim to prevent disorders of themusculoskeletal system. This is achieved through the respective useof the technical and philosophical approaches of Physiotherapytechniques.. The aim of practitioners is to relieve pain improverange and quality of motion improve general health and to provideeducation in order for patients to achieve improved health and wellbeing.

Takean ethical and holistic evidencebased approach tailored to theneeds of the patients considering the biopyschosocial influences ofeach patient simultaneously recognising the value of integrationand collaboration with other healthcare professionals in apatientcentric model. As leaders of the healthcare communityPhysiotherapists must provide education to support this samecommunity. This requires outreach and community workshops in orderto promote patient education on all topics related to health andwellbeing.

2.Duties andResponsibilities:


AsPhysiotherapists you will be requiredto:

Take a full and detailed medical case history as related to thepresenting complaint(s) and medical history as awhole.

Ensure pain scale recordings blood pressure and pulse are taken ateach treatmentsession.

Provide a thorough medical exam assessment and diagnoses as per thepresenting complaint and any other element of the medical historythat you may require pertinent to the presentingcomplaint.

Use appropriate techniques and any other associated training as peryour DHA recognised qualifications in the treatment of yourpatient(s).

Understand the philosophy of Joint Space Physiotherapy Clinic LLCproviding a holistic treatment plan encouraging patientselfsufficiency utilising all various offerings that the clinicprovides to its patient s andpatrons.

Educate the patient on their condition causation treatment plan andfurther appropriate preventativemeasures.

Recognise when the patient is no longer within the scope ofPhysiotherapy treatment. Whether this is due to any presentingcautions or contraindications to Physiotherapy treatment requiringreferral to another medical practitioner or the patient requires adifferent treatment modality to which your qualifications cannotprovide.

Ensure every patient has a patient file on the electronic softwaresystem (EMS) including all details pertinent to the patient smedical history fulfilling DHA requirements being accessibleunderstandable and transferable to all medicalstaff.

Interpret any and all diagnostic imaging asappropriate.

3.Qualifications:


Specificdegree qualificationsrequired:

Minimum 2 yearsexperience

Physiotherapy degree recognised byDHA


ContinualProfessionalDevelopment:


Physiotherapistsmust undertake continuing professional development in various formsas per DHA requirements and as per the requirements of thepractitioners professional home governing body. Continuedassociation with the home governing body of the practitioner mustbe maintained at all times as per requirements ofDHA.

SkillsandQualities:


Good communicationskills

Enjoy working with people and have an interest in theirwellbeing

Emotionally balanced patient tactful andcalm.

Ability to work fast accurately and make quick decisions whenrequired for the benefit of thepatient.

4.WorkingConditions

5 shifts a week morning/afternoonshifts.

6 hours 40 minutes per shift totalling 33 hours and 20 minutesworkingweek

Option for further shifts onrequest

One unpaid work hour for lunch during the course of a normalworkingday.

Whilst these are the basic hours of work in practice you may berequired to work outside these normal hours from time to time ifmutuallyagreed.
