Therole and responsibilities of the position will cover the followingkey aspects:

JobSummary: The Resident Electrical Engineer providesonsite engineering support for electrical systems duringconstruction or renovation projects. This role involves ensuringthat electrical installations meet design specifications andregulatory standards troubleshooting issues and coordinating withvarious stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of theproject.

KeyResponsibilities:

OnSiteSupervision:

  • Overseeelectrical installations and ensure they are carried out accordingto TRANSCO design specifications and constructiondrawings.

  • Supervise andcoordinate the work of electrical contractors and subcontractorsonsite.

  • Inspect electricalwork regularly to ensure quality and adherence to projectrequirements.

DesignandCompliance:

  • Reviewand verify electrical design drawings inline with ADNOC/TRANSCOspecifications applicable for the HVADC contract to ensure they arecorrectly implementedonsite.

  • Ensure that allelectrical work complies with local codes standards andregulations.

  • Collaboratewith design engineers to address any discrepancies or issues thatarise duringconstruction.

TestingandInspection:

  • Conductinspections and tests of electrical systems and components toverify their proper installation andfunctionality.

  • Identify andtroubleshoot electrical issues providing solutions to rectifyproblems promptly.

  • Ensureall testing and commissioning procedures are documented andcompliant with projectrequirements.

CoordinationandCommunication:

  • Actas the primary point of contact for all electrical engineeringissues onsite.

  • Communicateeffectively with project managers architects contractors and otherstakeholders.

  • Prepare andpresent reports on electrical work progress issues and solutions toprojectstakeholders.

DocumentationandReporting:

  • Maintaindetailed records of electrical work including changes to designsite conditions and installationprogress.

  • Prepare and submitprogress reports inspection reports and documentation forcompliance purposes.

  • Reviewand approve electrical shop drawings submittals and materialcertifications.

Safetyand QualityAssurance:

  • Enforcesafety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe workingenvironment for allpersonnel.

  • Conduct safetyaudits and ensure all electrical work complies with safetyregulations andstandards.

  • Implement qualitycontrol measures to ensure high standards of electricalworkmanship.

ProjectSupport:

  • Assistin resolving technical issues and providing engineering solutionsas required.

  • Support projectscheduling and resource management related to electricalwork.

  • Participate in projectmeetings and contribute to project planning and executionstrategies.

Requirements:

EducationalBackground:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering or a relatedfield.

  • ProfessionalEngineering (PE) license preferred or inprogress.

Experience:

  • Min10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with specificexperience in construction or sitebased rolespreferred.

  • Experience inresidential commercial or industrial electrical projects isbeneficial.

Skills:

  • Strongunderstanding of electrical systems codes andstandards.

  • Proficiency inreading and interpreting electrical blueprints andschematics.

  • Excellentproblemsolving and troubleshootingskills.

  • Strongorganizational and timemanagementabilities.

  • Effectivecommunication skills to interact with project teams andstakeholders.

Certifications:

  • Certificationin Electrical Engineering (e.g. EIT PE)preferred.

OtherRequirements:

  • Abilityto work onsite and handle physically demandingtasks.

  • Willingness to travelto different project sites asneeded.

  • Strong attention todetail and commitment toquality.
