Job Description

The Financial accounting &reporting manager will support all aspects of financial reportingregulatory compliance tax management budgeting and forecastingwithin the organization. They will be responsible for ensuring theaccuracy and integrity of financial data leading the extendedaccounting team and support in providing strategic financialguidance to management. The Financial accounting &reporting manager role at Galderma requires someone who thrives ina fastpaced and everchanging environment. Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: The Financialaccounting & reporting manager will be responsible for theaccurate and timely preparation review and analysis of financialstatements including balance sheets income statements and cash flowstatements. They will ensure compliance with relevant accountingstandards and regulations as well as internal policies.Additionally they will consolidate financial data from varioussources and present it in a clear and understandable format tostakeholders including senior management and regulatoryauthorities.
  • Monthend Process Management:Leading the monthend closing process for entities across the MiddleEast the Financial accounting & reporting manager willoversee the entire process to ensure its efficiency and accuracy.This includes coordinating with different departments to collectfinancial data reviewing balance sheets and other financialstatements and making necessary adjustments to improve the accuracyof financial reporting. They will also ensure alignment with globalmonthend processes and standards.
  • RegulatoryCompliance: Staying abreast of changes in accounting standards taxregulations and other relevant laws the Financial accounting& reporting manager will ensure the organizations financialpractices adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements. Theywill implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance andmitigate risks related to financial reporting andtaxation.
  • Tax Management: Overseeing thepreparation and filing of tax returns the Financial accounting& reporting manager will ensure compliance with all taxlaws and regulations. They will manage tax planning strategies tominimize tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits for theorganization. Additionally they will liaise with internal andexternal tax advisors and authorities to address any taxrelatedissues or inquiries.
  • Internal Controls andAudit: Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls theFinancial accounting & reporting manager will safeguard theintegrity of financial data and prevent inaccuracies in financialreporting. They will lead the coordination of internal and externalaudits ensuring compliance with audit requirements and addressingany audit findings or recommendations in a timelymanner.
  • Team Leadership and Development:Managing and mentoring the extended accounting team the Financialaccounting & reporting manager will provide guidancesupport and training to enhance their skills and effectiveness.They will assign responsibilities set performance objectives andconduct performance evaluations to ensure the teams success.Additionally they will foster a culture of collaborationprofessionalism and continuous improvement within the accountingdepartment.

Minimum Requirements

  • BachelorsDegree in Accounting Finance or relevantfield.
  • Professional Accounting Qualificationsuch as ACA CPA ACCA.
  • Minimum of 8 years ofexperience in accounting with managerial or supervisory experience4 years post qualification experience.
  • Strongskills in financial reporting regulatory compliance leadership andteam management.
  • Proficiency in accountingsoftware and advanced Excel skills.
