Roles and responsibilities

To act as a trusted advisor to linemanagement on change management, integration management, HR budgetand plan, staffing, talent management processes and execution ; toensure a keen understanding of the business so as to implement HRstrategies and practices that support robust business growth;reinforce a culture of performance focus, meritocracy anddiversity; and comply with Group HRpolicy.

What you will do:

TalentManagement

  • In liaison with the Head of HR,execute talent management strategy which will ensure having theright talent for the right position through internal and externalselection of candidates
  • Work with line managersto develop succession plans and retention strategies for key talentand positions. Prepares talent maps for allfunctions
  • Track progress of HIPO/Potentialemployees to ensure a strong pipeline ofcandidates.
  • Work with line managers to proposeright candidate for vacancies and prepare promotionsproposal
  • Review and implement performancemanagement plans to improve performance or assist with exit fromthe organization.

Talent Acquisition

  • Ensure alljobs have updated Job Descriptions, line managers are guided indefining organizational requirements and job scopes to ensure amulti skilled team and lean organization
  • Ensureall Line Managers have access to IGROW success factors, trained andeffectively using with proper guidance by theHRBP.
  • Liaise with the AF Talent Lead in orderto attract the right talent, to lead and manage the recruitmentprocess in line with internal audit guidelines and procedures aswell as timely in order to complete the recruitment in less than 45days.
  • Propose, update and develop selectiontools for different role and support/train line managers ininterviewing and assessment.
  • Plan a recruitmentcalendar for new Store Openings and implements assessments withline managers and AFG Talent AcquisitionTeam.
  • Ensure compliance with localizationpolicy and targets reaching targets in UAE andKSA.
  • Ensure offers are made in line with DOAand MPC budget.
Desired candidate profile
  • Conduct training needs analysis each year toprepare the L&D proposal andcalendar.
  • Ensure new employees are properlyinducted into the business and given support to become productiveas quickly as possible with L&DTeam.
  • Ensure training needs of key and highpotential staff are identified and delivered. Ensure all keypositions have identified successors.
  • Trackprogress of HIPO employees and review their progress with linemanagers to go to assessment for nextlevel.
  • Prepare quarterly L&Dpresentations for Line Managers in order to show the ROI and impactof learning calendar.

Employee Relations(ER)

  • Support line managers in creating aculture of employee engagement based upon 'Al FuttaimWay' values. Reinforce at all times a culture ofmeritocracy, performance-focus and diversity. Act as an advisor toLine Managers in order to educate them and minimiserisk.
  • Ensure compliance with local law andGroup policy throughout the employeelifecycle.
  • Communicate and implement changes toHR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that thedisciplinary procedure is properly applied before any employee isexited from the business.

Business Partnering

  • Act as atrusted business partner and coach to line management. Consult andsupport Line Managers across the businessunits.
  • Focus on measuring the employeeengagement of the business units and take actions necessary toimprove it.
  • Advise, coach and mentor managementand HR team on people related issues.
  • Act aschange agent and facilitate transition.

Reporting &Compliance

  • Join Trade Meetings by presentingweekly HR priorities.
  • Prepare and report MBRreports by Brand.
  • Ensure monthly recruitmentand talent KPIS are reported and reviewed. (Vacant positions,internal recruitment rate, time to fill vacancy, progress of talentpipeline).
  • Propose action for any issuesindicates by KPI.
