Role: Program Management and Governance

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Objective: Ensure the successful execution of the Payment Hub Program through a structured and transparent governance framework that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives.

Requirements:
  1. Manage end to end implementation of program. Develop/manage and track the delivery plan working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure delivery plan is aligned with key business priorities for various streams of the program.
  2. Develop a strong project management team having individuals who are strong in functional & technical know-how in Banking technology & payments area in addition to project management and able to work with internal technology teams, partners, business teams, of UAE & International and with Central PMO team.
  3. Implement a comprehensive governance structure with clear roles and responsibilities:
  1. Executive Steering Committee to provide strategic direction, approve budgets, and drive overall alignment.
  2. Regular delivery governance meetings with partners to get regular updates and ensure alignment on delivery commitments and highlight any challenges proactively.
  3. Working Group to facilitate cross-functional coordination, manage dependencies, and resolve escalations.
  4. Core Delivery Teams to handle daily program execution and address operational challenges.
  1. Develop a communication framework to ensure regular updates to internal and external stakeholders including central PMO, regulatory compliance team. Updates to include progress reports, risk assessments, and milestone achievements.
  2. Introduce a structured change management process that enables the submission, review, and approval of change requests while minimizing disruptions:
  1. Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes, including their effects on timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  2. Facilitate prioritization of changes based on value and urgency.
Establish a risk management strategy to identify, assess, and address potential challenges proactively, ensuring timely mitigation. Ensure setting up of effective escalation matrix and exercising on need basis. Provide ongoing documentation and reporting, including:
  1. Real-time dashboards for program monitoring.
  2. Periodic updates on key milestones and risks.
  3. Consolidated reports summarizing governance decisions and actions.
Deliverables:
  1. Formalized governance structure, including defined roles and responsibilities.
  2. Regular program status reports, risk updates, and change management documentation.
  3. Approved change requests with updated plans and schedules.
  4. Comprehensive records of all governance-related activities and decisions.
Ideal Team:
  1. Team should have prior experience of implementing large programs in CB / Regulatory payments area.
  2. Experience of Payment Hub implementation and knowledge of CB UAE payments scheme will be preferred.
  3. Experience of working in large organizations and collaborating with multiple entities/departments and managing senior stakeholders.
  4. Flexible to travel to bank's international locations, if needed.
  5. Experience in reviewing the technical product/services contract and working with procurement and legal for closure and alignment.
