The ROV Superintendent willoversee Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) operations ensuringsafety efficiency and precision. With expertise in ROV systems andinstrumentation they will lead teams in executing subsea projectsfrom planning to completion. They will prioritize proactivemaintenance troubleshoot technical issues and foster collaborativerelationships with stakeholders for seamless projectdelivery.
Responsibilities :
Directing and supervising ROV operations to ensure adherence toproject goals and safety protocols.
Collaborating withproject managers and stakeholders to plan and execute subseaoperations effectively.
Complete all management dutiesexpected offshore.
Effective handling of emergencies andmanagement of the ROV team in such situations.
Managingand mentoring a skilled team of ROV technicians to optimizeperformance and efficiency.
Training / assessing ROVSupervisor Senior Pilot Technicians and PilotTechnicians.
Ensuring regulatory compliance andadherence to company policies during all operations.
Establish and maintain quality standards conducting thoroughinspections and audits to identify and address any issues ordeficiencies.
Serve as a subject matter expert on ROVtechnologies providing technical guidance and support to internalteams and external stakeholders.
Utilizing indepthknowledge of ROV systems and instrumentation for troubleshootingand maintenance.
Collaborate with research anddevelopment teams to explore emerging technologies and innovationopportunities in underwater robotics.
Demonstrateworking knowledge of company BMS and associated ROVProcedures.
Drive the development and implementation ofstandardized processes and procedures to streamline documentationand compliance efforts acrossprojects.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical EngineeringRobotics or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering with afocus on ROVs USVs or marine robotics.
Proven trackrecord of leadership and team management with experience leadingmultidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projectson time and within budget.
Strong technical proficiencyin mechanical design control systems sensor integration andunderwater vehicle dynamics.
Experience with CADsoftware (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g.MATLAB Simulink).
Excellent communication skills withthe ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teamsand communicate technical concepts to nontechnicalstakeholders.
Familiarity with industry standards andregulations governing underwater robotics (e.g. API ISOABS).
Strong problemsolving abilities and a proactiveapproach to identifying and resolving technicalchallenges.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamicenvironment and adapt to changing priorities andrequirements.
