This role is critical in ensuring accurate and compliant medical billing and coding directly impacting patient‑care documentation, insurance reimbursements and regulatory compliance. The Medical Coder will translate complex medical records into standardized codes using ICD‑10‑CM, CPT and HCPCS systems. With a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and a commitment to accuracy, the ideal candidate will support seamless revenue cycle management while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity. This position offers a valuable opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the efficiency and compliance of healthcare operations within a fast‑paced medical environment. Responsibilities Accurately assign and verify medical codes (ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, HCPCS) based on patient medical records, physician documentation and treatment procedures. Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure completeness, consistency and compliance with coding guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, nurses and billing staff to clarify medical diagnoses and procedures when documentation is unclear. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and UAE healthcare data protection regulations. Ensure timely submission of coded records to billing and insurance departments to support prompt claims processing. Identify and correct coding discrepancies, inconsistencies or potential billing errors before claims are processed. Stay updated on changes in coding standards, regulatory updates and healthcare policies relevant to medical coding. Participate in internal audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain coding accuracy and compliance. Support the continuous improvement of coding workflows and documentation practices within the organization. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience in medical coding within the UAE healthcare sector. Proven proficiency in ICD‑10‑CM, CPT and HCPCS coding systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work accurately under deadlines. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software. Valid UAE residency and work permit (if applicable). Male candidates only.
