POSITIONOVERVIEW

The FinanceManager (FM) is responsible and accountable for the content andaccuracy of the financial ledgers and statements for the country byacting as the Chief Accountant / Financial Controller for US andlocal GAAP. This includes all areas of accounting (business andstatutory) and compliance including AR AP asset accounting payrollas well as VAT and Tax matters.

The FMis also responsible for the development implementation andcontinuous improvement of financial processes systems and internalcontrols (eg SOX). The position requires close coordination withother H.B. Fuller functions in UAE EIMEA and in Corporate andexternal service providers

PRIMARYDUTIES

40%Develop and manage accounting reporting compliance and controlactivities

  • Ensurethat the monthly and quarterly reporting requirements are met andthat accounting and processes are in line with HB Fuller policiesand local laws and regulations. This will be effected inpartnership with EIMEA SharedServices.

  • Establish andmaintain forecasting process to ensure the timely and accuratepreparation of quarterly and interim forecasts. Give ad hoc supportto the requirements of thebusiness

  • Manage implementand maintain the control system and SOX processes according the HBFuller policies and localrequirements.

  • Support alltactical performance improvementactivities.

30% Support profitable business growth through Business Partneringdecision support & financial planning & analysis(business reporting forecasting&budgeting..)

  • Participateactively in the India Management team and IMEA Finance Leadership.Provide proactive value conscience and risk management awareness tothe business

  • Finance supportto platform and market expansion activities. Support to local andregional staff in preparing business plans and then execution ofthose plans. This includes sales growth supply chain and otherbusiness/investmentinitiatives

  • By developingimplementing and sustaining business and operational processes in asustainable and compliantmanner

  • Implementation ofsystems and tools to improve decision making and control in thebusiness

  • Provide linkbetween the business and the regional and corporate headquartersand other businessfunctions

15% Legal Tax andAdmin

  • Coordinateinsurance pension treasury and all other legal entity and adminmatters with appropriate regional and corporatefunctions

  • Ensure effectivelocal direct and indirect tax processes and associatedcompliance

  • Effectivelymanage compliance with US and local tax matters in closecooperation with corporate taxgroup

15% Personnel development and ways ofworking

  • Develop andensure an effective Finance team inUAE

  • Discuss and establishroles and responsibilities for local staff and counterparts inother functions and Finance sharedservices

  • Discuss andestablish annual personal objectives for staff. Complete interimand annual performance reviews and development plans based upondirect reports execution of their responsibilities and progressagainst established personalobjectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluency inEnglish

  • Highly motivated andselfdirected

  • Strong knowledgeof accounting compliance financial analysis and commercial financeconcepts

  • ITliterate

  • Experience inworking close to Commercial and OperationsTeams

  • Team player withwillingness to be held and hold others accountable for theircommitments.

  • Strongcommunication skills and able to influence other areas of thecompany with clear statements andrecommendations

  • Experiencein managing and developingstaff

  • Experience inCorporate tax VAT Import duty and tax law and generaladministrativematters

  • Degree in Accountingor Finance or recognized accounting/financequalification.

  • Minimum 5years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis ofmultinational companies; 3 years of finance managementexperience

  • Experienced userof MS officepackage

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluencyin other languages

  • Workingknowledge in USGAAP

  • Experience in growingmarkets and/or in growing anorganization

  • Projectmanagement experience including ERP and systemsimplementation

  • FinanceManager with teamresponsibility

  • Workingknowledge of SAP

  • MBA andCMA/CPAcertification
