- Preparation of cost sheet like directcost indirect cost temporary facilities and other related cost totender.
- Floating enquiries to suppliers /manufacturers / subcontractors asrequired.
- Identify potential issues or areas ofrisk and communicate with Proposals & EstimationManager.
- Collaborate with other intracompanyand other estimators to ensure that estimate are accurate andcomplete.
Day to dayresponsibilities:
- Reviewand evaluate project tender documents ITT / ITB documents drawingsspecifications datasheets and project schedules and identify thecost estimation basis. Preparing technical queries such as detailsmissing documents pertaining to thetender.
- Prepare and float inquiries tosuppliers / manufacturers / subcontractors. Review and validateestimates form subvendors. Sending enquiries to thespecified/nonspecified suppliers for materials & equipment.To follow up and receive quotation from varioussuppliers.
- Evaluating suppliers quotationagainst the tender requirements such as capacity quantityspecifications deviations etc.
- Prepare detailedbill of quantity and verify material takeoffs during the tendersstage and support projects team during execution. Responsible forproducing competitive prices through evaluation of instructionsspecifications
- drawings bill of quantities.Negotiating with suppliers to achieve target price for winning thebid.
- Prepare cost sheet for constructionpackage for main contractor.
- Prepare costcomparison between suppliers and subcontractors and identify thefactors.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns andsummaries for MEP related scope of work including labor materialsequipment subcontractors overheads contingencies and profitmargins.
- Contribute to project execution planand prepare technical proposal writeup for related scope ofwork.
- Preparing final contract BOQ based on theagreed contract value.
- Revising the costsummary as per received post tenderclarifications.
- Contribute to commercialproposals and provide detailed basis for related scope ofwork.
- Negotiate with suppliers andsubcontractors on commercial aspects of the scope andproducts.
- Provide technical support andguidance to projects teams and clients on instrumentation relatedissues.
Qualifications:
- MinimumBachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field) with0405 years of experience and minimum 02 years in the Oil &Gas Power & Utility industry. Affinity and familiar withEngineering Procurement and Contracting aspects both onshore andoffshore in power and utilityindustry.
