What youwill need todo:

  • Assists in thepreparation of quality documentation including the Inspection& Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of constructiondocuments for compliance with project quality requirements relatedto Welding works.
  • Monitors all phases andprocesses required for the effective completion of all relatedWelding works and in particular issues of design procurementconstruction and final hand over of the related Weldingworks.
  • Monitors the implementation of MethodStatements and Inspection & Test Plans related to Weldingworks and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timelymanner in their area of assignedresponsibility.
  • Manages the inspection andtesting of Welding works in their area of assigned responsibilitiesincluding monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under theirauthority.
  • Monitors the close out of punchlists established for incomplete related to Mechanicalworks.
  • Monitors all measurement &testing instruments employed for Welding works that they arefunctional and calibrated.
  • Witnesses reviewsand approves welder qualifications and WPS PQRqualifications.
  • Liaises and coordinates with3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required related toMechanical works.
  • Statistical analysis andevaluation of test data related to Weldingworks.
  • Prepares files maintains test/inspectionrecords and any other quality records generated related to Weldingworks.
  • Assisting construction personnel toidentify and resolve problems and potential or actualnonconformances related to Weldingworks.
  • Advises the QC Manager of nonconformanceoccurrences and where necessary raises a Nonconformance Report fornoncompliant work and monitors the closeout and effectiveness ofthe correction and corrective actionundertaken.
  • Where required assists the QCManager in undertaking periodic audits including those ofsubcontractors and suppliers in particular technical complianceaudits in their field ofspecialization.
  • Attends and witnesses allClient verification of work (inspection test and the like) on siteand coordinates close out of any and all outstanding issues relatedto Civil works.
  • Where required assists in thepreparation of final document forcertification.

What youwill need tohave:

  • Bachelors degreein Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering with MastersDegree in Welding
  • at least 12 years of relatedexperience (ADNOC experience will be anadvantage).
  • Professional certification inwelding engineering (IWE CWE)
  • ASNT Level II inRT UT MT and PT
  • Knowledgeable in WeldingProcess Welding Procedure Qualification in line with ASME SEC IXAWS D1.1 API 1104 ISO 13847 SHELL DEP ADNOC specifications .Familiar with Welding defect identification and root causes withcontrol measures to prevent occurrence hands on welding trainingfor implementation contractor and vendor welding teams well versedin monitoring of welding repair data and welder performance . Shallbe conversant with resolution of site welding issues includingselection of welding consumable based on various material groupings. Ability to optimize welding procedure qualification based onmaterial standard and productionthickness
  • O&G Projectsexperience.

  • Has excellent organizationalskills
