CoreResponsibilities:

  1. ControlSystems Design andDevelopment:

    • Lead thedesign, specification, and implementation of controlsystems (e.g., PLC (Programmable LogicController) , SCADA (SupervisoryControl and Data Acquisition) , DCS(Distributed ControlSystems) ).
    • Develop controlstrategies and algorithms to optimize system performance andimprove reliability, safety, andefficiency.
    • Coordinate with electrical,mechanical, and process engineering teams to ensure integration ofcontrol systems into overall systemdesign.

  2. SystemIntegration andCommissioning:

    • Overseethe integration of control systems with other operational systemsand technologies, ensuring seamlessfunctionality.
    • Supervise the commissioning andtesting of control systems to verify that they are working asintended.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issuesduring the installation or commissioning phase to ensure a smoothtransition tooperations.

  3. Optimizationand PerformanceMonitoring:

    • Continuouslymonitor the performance of control systems and identify areas forimprovement.
    • Implement controloptimization techniques to enhance systemefficiency, reduce costs, and maximizethroughput.
    • Analyze system data and performancereports to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities forimprovement.

  4. ProjectManagement and TeamLeadership:

    • Lead andmanage a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuringthat control engineering projects are completed on time, withinbudget, and to the required qualitystandards.
    • Plan and manage multiple controlsystems projects simultaneously, including resource allocation,scheduling, and progress tracking.
    • Providetechnical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior engineers andteammembers.

  5. Safetyand Compliance:

    • Ensurethat control systems are designed and implemented in accordancewith industry safety standards, such asISA-88 (Batch Control),ISA-95 (Enterprise-Control SystemIntegration), and IEC Functional Safety).
    • Conduct risk assessmentsand ensure that control systems meet all regulatory and safetyrequirements to minimize operationalrisks.
    • Ensure that control systems comply withlocal, national, and international standards andcodes.

  6. Maintenanceand Support:

    • Overseethe maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems, ensuringthat they remain operational and that any failures or downtime arequickly addressed.
    • Develop and implementpreventive maintenance schedules for control systems to ensurelong-term reliability andperformance.
    • Coordinate with other departmentsto provide ongoing support for control systems during theiroperational lifecycle.

  7. SystemUpgrades andModifications:

    • Identifyopportunities for upgrading or modernizing control systems to keepup with new technologies, improve performance, or comply withupdated regulations.
    • Lead the implementation ofsystem upgrades, including software and hardware replacements orenhancements.
    • Ensure that any changes tocontrol systems are properly documented and tested to preventoperationaldisruptions.

  8. Collaborationwith Stakeholders:

    • Workclosely with project managers, operations teams, and otherengineers to ensure that control systems meet operational goals andrequirements.
    • Communicate effectively withstakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and toprovide updates on project progress and systemperformance.
    • Collaborate with external vendorsand suppliers to source control system components and ensure thatthey meetspecifications.
Desired candidate profile
  • JOB PURPOSE:

Provide technical expertise on allengineering subject matters about Instrument/ Control SystemEngineering and design of green field LNG plant. Coordinate andinterface with other Technical Disciplines and contractors/consultants to resolve technical issues and ensure qualityInstruments & Control engineering design execution andintegrity.

Perform troubleshooting of processcontrol, optimization, and plant information problems and maintainhigh availability of the systems.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE& SKILLS:

MinimumQualification

  • Bachelor's Degree inengineering or equivalent

Minimum Experience& Knowledge & Skills

  • 17 years' extensiveexperience in the LNG, oil refining, petrochemical or gasindustries.
  • Minimum 10 years direct experiencein various aspects of Project management, cost & planning,contracting, and commissioning.
  • Must have 2years experience in similarposition
