The Electrician position performs all tasksand duties of an electrical discipline including but not limited toinstalling or maintaining the variable speed /SCR drives electricalwiring on miscellaneous equipment including but not limited togenerators air conditioning refrigeration and alarm systems. Theposition is responsible for all drilling and support equipmentpertaining to the drilling of the well including but not limited tocirculating rotating hoisting and well controlsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Providevisible leadership with a Total Ownership attitude. Owns safetystandards
  • Enforce clarify and follow Companypolicies standards and procedures.
  • Support theHSE objective of no injuries accidents or harm to the environmentas it relates to all electrical processes procedures andpolicies.
  • Promote operational excellencethrough procedural discipline.
  • Delegate workeffectively with a clear definition of requirements andexpectations.
  • Supervise and ensure the safetyof those working under directsupervision.
  • Comply with emergency responseplan or Work Safe Procedures during emergencies and/ ordrills.
  • Responsible for morale and order withincrew.
  • Ensure Authorized To Operate (ATO) andApproved Competent Operator (ACO) are applied andfollowed.
  • Understand LO/TO and Permit to Workprocedures.
  • Download and Upload PLCprograms.
  • Troubleshoot control logics with PLCsbased control.
  • Read and analyze PLC ControlLogics.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze VFD controllogics.
  • Splice wire with approved cuttingdevice or cutting pliers and soldiers connections to fixturesoutlets and equipment.
  • Test circuit connectionsusing electrical test equipment.
  • Install testand maintain electrical equipment such as air conditioning heatingand refrigeration equipment.
  • Respond toemergencies as requested and coordinate onsite activities toutilize resources to facilitate repairs in the most expedient andcost effective manner.
  • Install and repairlighting systems.
  • Perform preventative andcorrective maintenance of electricalequipment.
  • Repair electrical equipment such aspanel lighting circuit breakers junction boxes voltage regulatorsand reverse current relays.
  • Fabricate andinstall electrical distribution panels for motor start andoperations.
  • Fabricate install and maintainalarm and video system.
  • Install calibrate andmaintain gas detection equipment.
  • Maintain apreventative maintenance schedule for all electricalequipment.
  • Read and analyze electrical drawingsschematics and equipment manuals.
  • Repair orreplace defective or worn electricalparts.
  • Troubleshoot miscellaneous electricalequipment.
  • Foresee potential equipmentmalfunctions or failures and preforms required repairs adjustmentsor modification to resolve theproblem.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager onthe maintenance repair and refurbishment ofequipment.
  • Create Job requests and work ordersas required and enter into maintenance trackingsystem
  • Ensure an adequate amount of spare partsare on hand at all times.
  • Submit requisitionsto Rig Manager for approval.
  • Maintain recordsof all electrical inventories and place orders as required withinbudgetary limits.
  • Perform additional dutiesresponsibilities and special projects as may bedirected.

Create Job requests and work orders as required andenter into maintenance tracking system Ensure an adequate amount ofspare parts are on hand at all times. Submit requisitions to RigManager for approval. Maintain records of all electricalinventories and place orders as required within budgetary limits.Perform additional duties responsibilities and special projects asmay bedirected.
