Lookingfor an Architectural Site Inspector based in Al Ain who will assistthe Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions ofthe daytoday activities on the project. The Architectural SiteInspector will participate in review and approval of all submittalsby the contractors and involves in the quality control and qualityassurance.

Under the supervision of the projectresident engineer performs routine inspection monitoring tasks toconfirm if proper construction supervision is being performed byothers. Inspects various facets of work on the construction siteand performs continuous surveillance of assigned constructionactivities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes standardsand specifications. Document nonconformance and may participate indetermining appropriateresolution.

Key roles andresponsibilities:

  • Assistthe Site Architect in performing the contractual duties onsite.
  • Verify the quality of finishes andmaterials used in the project ensuring that they meet the specifiedstandards and project requirements this involves examining thefinishes such as surface preparation paint or surface coatings tocheck for proper application smoothness color consistency andabsence of defects.
  • Ensure that theinstallations of finishes joineries doors windows hardscapingfacade walls ceilings and tiles comply with the approved shopdrawings and the relevant industrystandards.
  • Examine the installation of finishessuch as tiles flooring glazing GRC and wall claddings to confirmthat they are correctly installed aligned and secured and theinspector shall check their adhesion grouting jointing and overallworkmanship.
  • Inspect the surface preparationsand verify that they are smooth free from debris and adequatelyprimed or sealed and shall check materialscompatibilities.
  • Inspect materials andinstallations for fire resistance acoustic performance moistureprotection.
  • Is familiar with electronicdocumentation systems (ASite ) and be is able to managethe snag/desnag process for hisdiscipline.
  • Interface with the publicespecially residents and business owners adjacent to the work tomitigate the construction impacts.
  • Oversee andinspect all architectural work and ensure that installationactivities comply with contractual obligations and quality controlstandards.
  • Followup with the contractor andsupport in coordinating with the utility authority regardingconnections whenever required.
  • Ensures that theproject quality control procedures are used for the constructionsupervision works and monitors it forimprovement.
  • Monitors and coordinates allcontractors activities for thisdiscipline.
  • Performs works inspection requestsand material inspection requests on a dailybasis.
  • Support the Site Architect in reviewingsubmittals from project inception tocloseout.
  • Collaborates with constructionmanagement to eliminate any hazards associated with the work thatmay adversely affect the environment or the safety or health ofemployees.
  • Reviews and interprets disciplinedesign drawings and specifications to ensure current re visionlevel and correct technical of thework.
  • Provides resolution for technicalengineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinatesapplication of solutions to ensure progress onsite.
  • Monitors material procurement anddeliveries to ensure timeliness in support of constructionactivities and schedule within the assigneddiscipline.
  • Ensures that materials receivedmeet specifications and established standards of quality.
  • Organizes the accumulation of assigneddiscipline data for the final project turnover and report.
  • Initiates and maintains records back chargeprocedures progress reports etc. asrequired.
  • Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may beappropriate.
  • Checking that materials deliveredto site are appropriately stored and reportingdiscrepancies.
  • Inspecting the construction oftemporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with theContract Documents and approved shop drawings andsubmittals.
  • Preparing daily logs and reports.Maintain records of inspections made tests performed work executedetc. Performing all work in accordance with the ContractAdministration Procedures Manual.
  • Observingsite safety and quality practices and the progress of the work.Reporting any concerns.
  • Photo/Video recordingsite progress and observations.
  • Perform allother duties given by the directmanager.

To besuccessful in this role you willhave:

  • Degree inArchitecture.
  • Min of 5 years postgraduateexperience on large scale projects.
  • Revit& Other software packages is anadvantage.
  • Regionalexperience.
  • ADM & DM registration ispreferred.
  • Must be aware of local applicablebuilding codes requirements (ADIBC ).
  • A professional who can manage andcoordinate specialized activity discipline or team of moderate sizeandcomplexity.
