The successful candidate will play akey role in ensuring that all rotating equipment meets the projectstechnical specifications and operational requirements contributingto the overall success of the project.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide engineering support for rotating equipment acrossall phases of the project from conceptual design to finalcommissioning.
  • Develop and review detailedmechanical designs for rotating machinery ensuring compliance withindustry standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct engineering calculations equipment sizing andselection for pumps compressors turbines and other rotatingequipment used in oil and gas facilities.
  • Collaborate with project managers procurement andconstruction teams to ensure timely and costeffective delivery ofrotating equipment packages.
  • Lead the reviewand approval of vendor documentation related to rotating equipmentincluding technical specifications drawings andcalculations.
  • Perform site inspections andprovide technical support during the installation commissioning andstartup phases of the project.
  • Oversee thedevelopment of equipment datasheets specifications and purchaserequisitions for rotating equipment packages.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to resolve anytechnical challenges related to rotating machinery during designand phases.
  • Ensure that all designs complywith applicable local and international codes andstandards.
  • Identify and mitigate potentialrisks related to rotating equipment during design and projectphases.
  • Provide input into the maintenancestrategy for rotating equipment to ensure longterm reliability andavailability of equipment.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering ora related field (Masters preferred).
  • Upto 510years of experience in rotating equipment design within the oil andgas industry with a focus on onshore projects.
  • Extensive experience in detailed engineering for rotatingmachinery including pumps compressors turbines and other rotatingequipment.
  • Indepth knowledge of industrystandards such as API ASME ISO and ANSI codes and their applicationin oil and gas projects.
  • Proven expertise inmechanical design software (e.g. AutoCAD Bentley or similar tools)and rotating equipment analysis tools.
  • Strongbackground in rotating equipment selection sizing andtroubleshooting.
  • Excellent understanding ofmechanical design principles materials and manufacturing processesrelated to rotating equipment.
  • Experience withsite support and field installation activities.
  • Strong project skills with the ability to manage multipletasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Fluent inEnglish both written and spoken; knowledge of Arabic is aplus.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolvingskills.
  • Proactive attitude with a keen eye fordetail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a teamenvironment and collaborate across various disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills both technical andinterpersonal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks andwork under tight deadlines.
  • Experience workingin the Middle East particularly in onshore oil and gas projects ishighly desirable.
