As part of this exciting expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Medical Affairs Lead – GCC to join their regional leadership team based in Dubai. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape medical strategy, drive clinical and scientific engagement, and deliver meaningful impact across one of the fastest-growing markets in global healthcare. The Role The Medical Affairs Lead – GCC will play a critical role in shaping and executing the medical strategy across multiple therapy areas and markets. Reporting into the Regional Medical Director, you will lead a team of medical professionals, build strategic partnerships with healthcare stakeholders, and ensure the successful launch, positioning, and lifecycle management of innovative therapies across the Gulf region. This is a highly strategic and visible leadership position that requires deep scientific expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across complex stakeholder networks — from regulatory bodies and payers to key opinion leaders and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities Medical Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the regional medical affairs strategy to support portfolio growth, patient access, and clinical adoption across the GCC. Scientific Engagement: Lead scientific exchange and build trusted partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and regulatory authorities. Evidence Generation: Oversee clinical research initiatives including investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence programs, and non-interventional research to support medical and market objectives. Launch Excellence: Partner cross-functionally to ensure launch readiness for new therapies, providing strategic medical input into commercial, access, and regulatory plans. Medical Governance & Compliance: Implement robust medical governance frameworks to ensure ethical engagement, compliance with regulations, and scientific integrity. Team Leadership & Development: Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing medical affairs team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Stakeholder Influence: Represent the company at key medical and scientific forums, shaping policy, clinical practice, and payer decision-making through impactful engagement and thought leadership. Candidate Profile We are seeking a dynamic, scientifically driven leader with a strong track record of success in medical affairs within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep therapeutic expertise, regional market knowledge, and the strategic acumen to translate science into impactful medical strategy. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in medical affairs within biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity. Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD strongly preferred). Proven experience leading medical strategy, stakeholder engagement, and evidence generation in the GCC or wider MEA region. Strong understanding of clinical development, regulatory requirements, and market access dynamics. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional decision-making and operate effectively in a matrix, global organisation. Experience launching specialty or biologic therapies is highly desirable. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a strong advantage. Why This Role? This is an exceptional opportunity to join a global biotech innovator during a period of rapid regional growth and scientific advancement. As Medical Affairs Lead – GCC, you will shape the medical strategy for breakthrough therapies, strengthen healthcare partnerships, and directly contribute to improving patient outcomes across one of the most dynamic healthcare markets in the world.
