Legal and Commercial Contracts Executive Gas Distribution Jobs in Dubai Location: Dubai United Arab EmiratesIndustry: Gas Distribution / Energy SectorJob Type: FullTimeReports To: Legal Manager / Head of Commercial & Legal Affairs Job Description: A leading gas distribution company in Dubai is seeking a Legal and Commercial Contracts Executive to manage and oversee a wide range of contractual legal and regulatory matters . This role is responsible for drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts ensuring compliance with UAE laws and supporting commercial teams in risk mitigation and legal decisionmaking . The successful candidate will work closely with the legal procurement sales and operations teams contributing to project and safeguarding the companys legal and commercial interests. Key Responsibilities: Contract Management Draft review and negotiate a wide range of contracts including supply agreements NDAs subcontractor and consultancy contracts . Ensure contracts are legally sound commercially viable and aligned with UAE laws and industry regulations . Monitor and manage contractual obligations renewals and deliverables across projects. Legal Advisory & Compliance Provide legal support on corporate governance regulatory compliance and contract disputes . Stay updated on UAE commercial civil labor and energy laws relevant to gas and utilities sectors. Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality DEWA and other local authority regulations. Risk Management & Dispute Resolution Identify legal and commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies . Support dispute resolution arbitration and litigation processes. Liaise with external legal counsel when required for escalated legal matters. Commercial & Project Support Support commercial teams in negotiations bid preparation and tender review . Advise on legal aspects of client and vendor claims contract variations and communications . Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align legal documentation with project requirements. Document Control & Reporting Maintain a centralized legal contracts database and archiving system . Track and report on contract status compliance metrics and risk exposure . Prepare legal summaries reports and updates for management. Candidate Requirements: Education & Certification Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) Required. Masters Degree or Legal Certification (e.g. LPC Bar) Preferred. Experience 36 years of experience in a legal/commercial contracts role. Prior experience in the gas energy utilities or construction sectors . Proven ability in drafting and negotiating technical and commercial contracts . Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of UAE contract law FIDIC and regulatory frameworks . Excellent drafting negotiation and legal analysis skills. High attention to detail and analytical thinking . Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficient in MS Office and contract management systems .
