We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Bid Specialist to join our team. This role supports the Bidding Lead in managing and coordinating bid responses, enhancing our work-winning capabilities, and driving growth in the Middle East.

1. Lead and coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality bid responses for engineering projects.
2. Ensure all bids follow the Bid No Bid process.
3. Review bid documentation to identify key requirements, deadlines, win themes, and raise potential issues.
4. Inform the Commercial and Legal Team (CLT) where necessary to ensure contractual/legislative requirements are met.
5. Organize and lead Bid Kick-Off meetings for significant bids to agree on commitment to bid, capture bid themes, arrange the program, and identify key team members and case study projects.
6. Review input from technical teams against bid criteria, highlighting any potential gaps in information, and ensuring a tailored and focused response.
7. Create additional bespoke content for submissions by interviewing technical team members to capture the right story.
8. Ensure all submissions are well-written, compliant with client requirements, and in line with agreed themes, the company brand, and corporate message. Challenge any content that falls short of the expected standard.
9. Design and collate submission documents, ensuring accuracy, proof-reading, and spell-checking, and communicate additional graphic requirements with the Graphic Design team.
10. Assist in developing others by working with technical and non-technical staff on managing bids effectively and guiding them through the process.
11. Identify leads, opportunities, and bids for the business working with the BD team to maintain the pipeline.
12. Ensure the progress of all bids is accurately recorded on our CRM system.
13. Organise and contribute to or lead bid touchdown meetings.

1. Create, capture, and share model answers and refined project descriptions.
2. Collate, share, and disseminate best practices and lessons learned from bid feedback.
3. Attend team meetings to gain progress updates, maintain communication, and ensure submission best practices.
4. Monitor bid feedback, analyse win/loss results, and identify potential areas for improvement.

1. Ensure the CRM is continuously updated and accurately reflects our current information.
2. Liaise with project operations and finance teams to ensure accurate information is distributed.
3. Be aware of the rates to check for accurate inclusion in bids.

1. Assist with data cleansing activities for monthly management reports.
2. Become one of the CRM champions for the business unit to aid accurate reporting.
3. Assist with pipeline reporting.
4. Assist with sector and market reports as necessary.

Your skills and experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Significant relevant experience in business development, bid management, or a similar role within the design, engineering, architecture, or project management field.
3. Strong project management and organisational skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Excellent understanding/network within the design/engineering/architecture/project management sector.
9. Arabic speaking and writing skills are desirable.
10. Excellent communicator at all levels of seniority.
11. Able to problem-solve and think on your feet.
12. Works well under pressure, calm and level-headed.
