Senior Professional Services Category Manager

Job Description Summary This role is primarily focused on executing strategic sourcing activities across GE Vernovas Professional Services spend with a specific emphasis on Total Rewards and HR Operations collectively HR Services. The primary focus is on ensuring Safety Quality Delivery and Cost savings for GE Vernova supplier engagements based on business priorities. This role emphasizes collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies coordinate efforts and policy and execute initiatives involving vendor management performance monitoring demand management and governance/compliance. The goal is to ensure mutual success and outcomes through aligned strategies between sourcing and business stakeholders. Job Description What youll do: Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis negotiations support etc. This may also include purchasing activities. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies for the Professional Services HR Services (Total Rewards and HR Operations) ensuring alignment to business objectives. Commodity Playbook creation and maintenance aligned with Stakeholders evolving need and market conditions. Lean focus prioritizing Safety Quality Delivery and Cost uncompromised and in that order. Utilize Lean for continuous improvement in SQDC. Coordinate execute and lead the stakeholder through the end-to-end sourcing process: strategy development market analysis negotiation (RFXs) supplier selection contract creation and buy channel/preferred supplier management. Negotiate with suppliers and strategic partners to achieve the best contractual conditions and outcomes for GE Vernova. Ability to execute contracts for GEV align with legal team deviation matrix data privacy cyber security and the AI Council. And compliant to GE Vernovas POA and DOA policies. Utilize industry trends to inform decision-making processes ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder strategies. Serve as a trusted advisor to multi-functional stakeholder teams within the HR function to design and implement specific strategic sourcing initiatives. Drive execution of strategic activities related to GE Vernovas transition and transformation. Work collaboratively with your peers in the HR Services Team as well as the broader PSP Indirect Sourcing Team Legal services team and Buy Desk teams. What youll bring: Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college. Significant experience in Sourcing Operations Supply Chain Management or related functions. Demonstrated ability to execute sourcing strategies Demonstrated ability in leading organizational process and culture change. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixed organization. Excellent communication negotiating and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and with external organizations. Demonstrated customer focus and change-oriented mindset. What will make you stand out: MBA or Bachelors degree in Sourcing Operations or Supply Chain Management. Category Management Contract Management and Sourcing experience in a multi-national company. Track record of driving step-change improvement in Sourcing or similar function with a focus on Safety Quality Delivery and Cost savings. Strong analytical skills (Spend analytics should-cost analysis market R&I). Strong experience in Procurement processes and system integration projects. Comfortable with a broad range of research tools and technologies analytics and financial analysis. Strong project management skills. Thought leader with experience in external benchmarking to drive process improvements focused on Safety Quality Delivery and Cost savings. Demonstrated negotiation skills.
