We are currently seeking proactive, dynamic candidates to join our expanding team in the role of Purchasing Clerk.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and source suppliers for materials and supplies required for projects.
- Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness to prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials to meet project timelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Coordinate with production team to ensure efficient storage and distribution of inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
- Provide regular updates to management on procurement activities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other internal team to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Researching potential suppliers locally and international.
- Determine the lowest cost of Products and Materials.
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
- Responsible for material planning, and cost saving analysis
- Liaise with stockroom staff to ensure all orders arrive in good condition
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- At least two years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the signages, fit-out or equivalent industry is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office specifically in MS Excel.
- Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
