The successful applicantwill use a combination of molecular and electrophysiologicalapproaches to investigate how gene expression contributes to therhythms in excitability and plasticity of circadian clock neuronsin rodents andfruitflies.
Applicants musthave a PhD in Biology or Neuroscience and experience in molecularbiology electrophysiology and animal handling as well as excellentverbal and written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Handlemice and perform behavioral experiments to measure stress andcognition.
- Measure locomotor activity in miceto determine diurnal and circadianrhythms.
- Measure electrical activity in cellstaken from mices brains.
- Measure changes ingene expression in brain cells taken frommice.
