Responsibilities:
  • Researchingnew markets and using the data to forecast sales, set performancegoals, review strategies to increase revenue, and set operatingbudgets.
  • Devising and implementing new businessinitiatives and sales strategies and monitoring theireffectiveness.
  • Ensuring effective trainingprograms for sales representatives, assigning trained salesrepresentatives to various territories, and setting their salesgoals, revenue targets, and key performanceindicators.
  • Overseeing the company'ssales growth by evaluating sales reports and capitalizing onparticular products or services.
  • Increasing theefficiency of business procedures by meeting with operational andsourcing departments.
  • Meeting with salesmanagers to assess the sales team's performance andoverseeing the performance management of underperforming staffmembers.
  • Presenting quarterly and annual salesresults to the board.
