The CCB IB & International BusinessFinance team comprises of individual functions globally supportingthe following products; Global Corporate Finance TransactionBanking Global Markets along with the Coverage function forInvestment Corporate & Commercial Banking. The unit fallsunder the Group Finance department and reports to the CFO CCB IB& International.

Key prioritiesof this role include:

  • Act asa trusted Finance advisor on business performance &strategic issues specific to thebusiness
  • Providing world class financialreporting & support services adding value through providingprofessional independent & objective financial advice whichassist in the achievement of business objectives whilst complyingwith Group policies and standards and external statutoryobligations.
  • Production of financial &management accounting reporting statements for the functional areaof responsibility in line with Group reporting standards whilstmaintaining a robust controlenvironment.

The IB Business Financefunction(s) are responsible for all finance matters specific to thebusiness including but not limited to; Performance ControlForecasting Budgeting & Strategy. In addition the functionprovides a key support role to other Group Finance functions;Treasury Central FP&A Tax as well as Financial &Regulatory Reporting.

KEYACCOUNTABILITIES:

GenericAccountability

  • Enhancevalue added business partnership to drive business performance.Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to theInvestment Banking business ensuring alignment with overallcorporate objectives.
  • Budgeting andForecasting: Lead the budgeting forecasting and financial planningprocesses ensuring accuracy and alignment with businessgoals.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailedfinancial analysis including customer & segmentalprofitability analysis cost management and performance metrics tosupport decisionmaking.
  • Reporting: Prepare andpresent financial reports including monthly quarterly and annual MIto senior management andstakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaboratewith senior management to develop and implement strategic plansincluding growth initiatives capital allocation and riskmanagement.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentora small team of finance professionals fostering a culture of highperformance and continuousimprovement.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensurecompliance with financial regulations internal policies andgovernance standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Act as a key liaison between the finance department and otherbusiness units building strong relationships and ensuring effectivecommunication.
  • Participate in theidentification of opportunities for continuous improvement andsustainability of systems processes and practices consideringglobal standards productivity improvement and costreduction.

SpecificAccountability

  • Providekey inputs where necessary on across business management forums;MIS reviews as well as contribute towards value added commentaryand insight specific to both Coverage & other IB productswhere necessary
  • Comprehensive P&Lanalysis including detailed analysis and interpretation of dailyweekly & monthly performance of IBCoverage.
  • Perform periodic segment/ sectoranalysis hold customer reviews with thebusiness
  • Key business finance contact for allglobal Coverage queries leading discussions as appropriate withboth the business as well as relevant enablementfunctions.
  • Managing the day to day and monthend controls of P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliationsubstantiation and reporting forCoverage
  • Manage projects driven by newregulatory requirements in International locations to ensure thekey criteria of the regulation is met in a sustainable efficientand effective manner
  • Ensure compliance andcontrol of specific accounting processes and practices for proposednew product initiatives or productvariations.
  • Work with Treasury on anyFTP  capital and liquidity matters affecting both Coverage& CIB products as required
  • Continuouslyassess the quality of service provided to the principal customersand strive to ensure that the area adds value to their objectivesthrough the provision of accurate and valuable financial data andadvice.

Qualifications:

  • Minimumof 8 years of experience in finance with at least 3 years in amanagerial role with leading Internationalbank(s).
  • Technical knowledge of Wholesale& Investment Banking products
  • Bachelorsdegree in Finance or a related field. MBA or relevant professionalcertification (e.g. CFA CPA) ispreferred.
  • Proven ability in direct managementof a finance team from a leading InternationalBank(s)
  • Proven ability in liaising &dealing with Business leaders CFO Enablement heads Auditors& external consultants
  • Proven leaderwith an ability to influence strategic decisions at a seniormanagementlevel.

Skills

  • Strongfinancial acumen and analytical skills; Proficiency in financialmodelling and forecasting.
  • Excellentcommunication presentation skills with a high degree of personalintegrity to deliver under pressure
  • Excellentleadership and team managementabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaceddynamicenvironment.
