We also produce industry renowned thought leadership such as our Global Digital Report and Think Forward. The Opportunity We are looking for an Account Director to join the team here at We Are Social, pushing the boundaries of social media advertising. As an Account Director, you’ll work across every department to shape the social direction of our clients, push past tired marketing conventions, and champion bold, platform‑native ideas. You’ll live and breathe the brands you lead—driving social innovation and making sure the work gets the recognition it deserves both inside the agency and out. You’ll steer communication strategy, content development and community management, while actively owning and growing client relationships. This role sits at the heart of a fast‑moving Client Services team, leading day‑to‑day delivery, guiding inter‑agency projects, keeping a close eye on how your clients show up across online and offline media, developing your team, and taking the reins on any new business opportunities that come your way. Delivered social‑first expertise by translating platform knowledge and trends into standout creative solutions and guiding others to do the same. Shared knowledge actively across local and global teams, contributing to capability development and raising the bar of social specialism. Maintained accurate financial forecasting, scope ownership, and P&L accountability across accounts and projects. Navigated operations smoothly, working with Traffic/Ops to secure resources in advance and ensure workflow runs without friction. Identified, shaped, and converted business development opportunities while protecting existing relationships and account health. Built and maintained strong client and senior stakeholder relationships, influencing strategic direction and safeguarding delivery quality and revenue potential. What Else Are We Looking For? Led and motivated cross‑functional client and internal teams to consistently deliver high‑quality creative work and efficient ways of working. Set clear expectations, communicated with confidence, and ensured teams delivered against them without constant oversight. Managed and developed direct reports through structured processes, regular check‑ins, clear goals, and career pathways. Built strong team culture, driving collaboration, mutual respect, shared pride, and a healthy, connected working environment. Demonstrated strong time‑management in hybrid environments, balancing workloads, deadlines, and team coordination across locations.
