Roles and responsibilities
  • Masters (preferred) orBachelor's degree in Business Management, InformationTechnology or related discipline.
  • Agilecertification is necessary – preferably advanced (CSP,CSC, PSM-II, SPC, CAL 1-2, etc.) or beginner (CSM, PSM-1, ScaledAgilist, etc).

MinimumExperience

  • 10+ years' relevantexperience in the banking sector with at least 7+ years in similarpositions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilitiesin the Governance and Change / Transformationfunction.
  • Has 5+ years experience inEnterprise-wide Change & digital Transformation and AgileWays of Working. Has substantial experience and expertise in agiledelivery techniques and methodologies to ensure continuousimprovement and delivery of services
  • Experienceas a Program Lead / Director handling Transformation programs,ideally with Project Management qualification in Agile /PMO.
  • Hands-on experience in devising strategyfor roll-out of multiple Agile frameworks (team and enterpriselevel).
  • Extensive experience in leading andexecuting cross departmental projects with seniorstakeholders.
  • Effective leadership and strongwritten, oral and presentationskills.

  • ProjectMonitoring andOversight :

    • MonitoringProgress : Ensuring that the Agile teams areprogressing according to the agreed-upon plan and timelines,without compromising quality orscope.
    • Assessing DeliveryMetrics : Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)such as velocity, burn-down charts, sprint completion rates, anddefect rates to evaluate team performance anddelivery.
    • RiskManagement : Identifying potential risks early in theproject lifecycle and working with teams to mitigate or resolvethemproactively.

  • ProcessImprovement :

    • AgilePractices : Ensuring that Agile practices (e.g.,Scrum, Kanban, Lean) are being followed properly across teams andhelping to adjust processes as needed to optimizeperformance.
    • ContinuousImprovement : Facilitating retrospectives,identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping teams evolvetheir Agile practices to become more efficient andeffective.

  • QualityAssurance andControl :

    • EnsuringQuality : Promoting and ensuring the adoption ofpractices like Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing,and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) to maintainproduct quality.
    • CodeReviews : Supporting or overseeing code qualitythrough peer reviews, pair programming, and automated codescanning.
    • DefectManagement : Identifying defects early in thedevelopment process, ensuring they are tracked, and collaboratingwith development teams to resolve themquickly.

  • StakeholderEngagement :

    • Communicatingwith Stakeholders : Keeping business stakeholders andleadership informed of the project's status, risks, and anyissues that may affect deliverytimelines.
    • FacilitatingCross-Team Collaboration : Ensuring effectivecommunication and collaboration between cross-functional teams,such as development, testing, operations, and productmanagement.
    • ExpectationManagement : Ensuring that stakeholder expectationsare well managed and aligned with what the Agile team can deliver,adjusting timelines or scope whennecessary.

  • AgileGovernance :

    • AgileFrameworks and Guidelines : Ensuring that Agileframeworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) are being applied correctlyand consistently acrossprojects.
    • EnsuringCompliance : Making sure that Agile delivery adheresto organizational standards, regulatory requirements, andcompliance frameworks wherenecessary.
    • Documentation andReporting : Documenting and reporting on Agilemetrics, performance, and delivery to internal and externalstakeholders.

  • TeamSupport andCoaching :

    • CoachingAgile Teams : Providing guidance to Scrum Masters,Product Owners, and other team members on Agile principles and bestpractices.
    • Training :Offering training on Agile techniques, tools, and practices toteams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with Agilemethodologies.
    • Facilitating AgileCeremonies : Supporting or overseeing important Agileceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews,and Retrospectives to ensure they are productive and aligned withbest practices.

  • AgileMethodologies :

    • Strongunderstanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, andLean.
    • Familiarity with Agile practices,principles, and values as outlined in the AgileManifesto .

  • ProjectManagement :

    • Strongproject management skills, including the ability to plan, track,and manage the delivery of projects while ensuring alignment withbusiness goals.
    • Ability to balance scope, time,cost, and quality in Agileenvironments.

  • RiskManagement :

    • Ability toidentify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the successof Agile delivery projects.
    • Proactive issueresolution skills to prevent delays and improve teamefficiency.

  • QualityAssurance :

    • Understandingof software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assuranceprocesses in Agile, including automated testing, ContinuousIntegration (CI), and Test-Driven Development(TDD).
    • Ability to ensure that high-qualitystandards are maintained throughout theproject.

  • DataAnalysis andReporting :

    • Ability togather and analyze Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time)to assess team performance and identify areas forimprovement.
    • Skills in reporting andvisualizing project status and delivery health for both technicaland non-technicalstakeholders.

  • StakeholderManagement :

    • Excellentcommunication skills to effectively collaborate with businessstakeholders, leadership teams, and Agileteams.
    • Ability to manage expectations andfoster collaboration between different businessfunctions.

  • FacilitationandCoaching :

    • Experience infacilitating Agile ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, DailyStand-ups, Sprint Retrospectives, and BacklogRefinement.
    • Ability to coach teams on Agilebest practices and help them continuouslyimprove.

  • ChangeManagement :

    • Experiencein managing and guiding teams through organizational changes asthey adopt Agile methodologies andprinciples.

  • Collaborationand Teamwork :

    • Strongteamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate withcross-functional teams and align objectives with organizationalgoals.
