PRIMARYDUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES

Reservoirand Field DevelopmentPlanning

  • Activelyprovides quality and timely contribution to all ReservoirEngineering related activities
  • Providesreservoir engineering input to the key business areas, includingbut not limited to, field development reservoir studies, field andwell production forecasts, WRFM planning and takes an active rolein development of asset referenceplans
  • Supports and provides quality and timelyinput to other subsurface disciplines
  • Plays anactive role in the project and business planningprocess
  • Works in close cooperation with othersubsurface disciplines and drilling and operationsteam
  • Promotes the quantification and managementof uncertainty in the upstreambusiness

ReservoirCharacterization

  • Contributes to RE dataacquisition projects/studies (PVT, Well Tests, PressureSurveillance, core data etc) including planning, field execution,data management and data interpretation during well drilling andfor surveillance activities
  • Builds, updates,and validates reservoir simulation models using industry-standardsoftware (Eclipse, INTERSECT andPetrel)
  • Integrates static models, well logs,core data, and production history into dynamicsimulations
  • Performs assisted and manualhistory matching to ensure the model accurately reflects pastreservoir performance
  • Conducts sensitivityanalysis to assess the impact of reservoir uncertainties ondevelopment plans
  • Generates productionforecasts and assesses recovery factors under various developmentscenarios
  • Evaluates and optimizeswells' placement, production strategies, and injectionschemes (e.g., water, gas, CO₂ injection)
  • Worksclosely with geoscientists, petrophysicists, drilling andproduction engineers to ensure the model reflects all subsurfaceuncertainties
  • Prepares technical reports andpresentations for stakeholders, management, and joint venturepartners
  • Supports decision-making through clearcommunication of simulation results and theirimplications
Desired candidate profile
  • Monitors the reservoir performance on acontinuous basis in order to maintain productionlevels
  • Conducts material balance analysis,decline curve analysis, pressure transient analysis, and ratetransient analysis to evaluate reservoirbehaviour
  • Designs surveillance plans, includingwell testing and pressure surveys
  • Identifiesand mitigates risks related to reservoirperformance
  • Collaborates with productionengineers to optimize production rates and identify underperformingwells

Reporting andCommunication

  • Conscientiouslydocuments all work carried out in appropriate form and providesmanagement and stakeholders with all relevant materials andreports
  • Maintains and exhibits excellentworking relationships with all Crescent Petroleum staff andcontractors
  • Prepares detailed technical reportsand presentations for management and joint venturepartners
  • Effectively communicates reservoirmanagement plans and results to multidisciplinary team andpartners

Safety,Quality &Environment

  • Ensurescompliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmentalmanagement procedures and controls within the feasibility analysisfunction to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance,delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsibleenvironmentalattitude

ContinuousDevelopment

  • Continuouslyimproves and promotes new technologies that would increaseproductivity and reduce cost
  • Helps inconducting technical research to be utilised for field development,exploration and drilling plans. Recommends subsequent actions totop management

MinimumEducational, Technical Qualifications/CertificationsRequired

  • Master Degreein Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent discipline with soundtechnical knowledge of Drilling, Geology, Geophysics andOperations
  • 10+ years of professional experiencewithin the Reservoir Engineeringdiscipline
  • Preferred to have fracturedcarbonates and tight oil reservoir experience, working experiencein Kurdistan / Iraq / or Middle East will be abenefit
