Department Profile:

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) is aglobal team which develops enterprise systems in support of Morgan Stanley'sInstitutional Securities Group, including Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities,Investment Banking, Research, and Global Capital Markets. The ESTAR groupwithin IST provides technology solutions to the Equities Business. This role iswithin the Equity Structured Products Trading development team with the keyfocus on implementing trade capture and trade lifecycle management applicationsfor our traders and their support teams.

Morgan Stanley’s Equity Derivatives business is supported by a globalprocessing platform for Vanilla and Exotic Structured OTC Derivatives,encompassing pre-trade pricing, workflow, trade capture, lifecycle processing,confirmation, collateral management and settlement.

Role:

We havean exciting opportunity within our global Equity Structured Products Tradingdevelopment team for a junior to mid-level Java developer. This is a hands-onrole that will enable the successful candidate to play a pivotal part in the build-out of our strategic platform for thelifecycle management of exotic equity derivatives.

Responsibilitieswill include:

working in an Agile environment with our users across Sales, Trading, Operations and Finance to implement innovative business ideas and increase business efficiency involvement in the full development lifecycle of the project to ensure we iteratively deliver value to our stakeholders engaging with other developers and technologists globally to drive both the platform’s resiliency and scalability providing 3rd line support when necessary

The candidate should have experience with design anddevelopment Java 8+, an aptitude for understanding complex enterprise-scalesystems and good problem-solving abilities. A keen interest in the latestdevelopment tools and an enthusiasm for both technology and the business domainis required. Experience with HTML 5.0 and Angular is a plus.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

In-depth knowledge and solid commercial experienceof Java 8+

Experience in automated testing and continuousintegration platforms

Goodarchitectural knowledge, and experience working with frameworks &distributed environments

Desired Skills (not essential):

HTML5 technologies, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript

Scala

Python experience

Experience in sales and trading platforms or middleoffice trade processing systems in Equities / FX / Fixed Income / Derivativesdomain
