JOB PURPOSE: The Operations Manager will take the project from inception to operation. He must be able to conduct the pre-phase preparatory of a project, from assembling a team to conducting market prospect and executing business plans.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Responsible for building relationships with key investors, developing proposals, maintaining relations with existing clients. Develop growth strategies and cascade them into operational plans. Research business opportunities and viable income streams. Manage and retain relationships with existing clients, and increasing client base. Master in knowledge of business products and value proposition. Negotiate with stakeholders. Identify and map the business strengths and customer needs. Follow industry trends locally and internationally. Draft and review contracts. Report on successes and areas needing improvements. Supervise, mentor, develop and manage junior staff.  PROJECT MANAGEMENT Key project management functions may include start up, monitoring performance, coordination with subs/primes, knowledge management, communications liaison, and close down. Develop project budget in consideration with cost optimization and reduction goals. Track, monitor and control expense based on budgetary guidelines. Coordinate closely with the Finance Department, especially with the regional accounting managers as well as the Controller to ensure strong financial management. Manage project team to execute operations project effectively and efficiently. Other project management tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :Minimum 8 years’ experience in operation, project management & business development function. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Agricultural economics, Agribusiness management or Agronomy, Agricultural engineering, Business Administration/MBA.

Qualifications: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Project Design experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation.  Demonstrated capacity to work with private sector players (financial institutions, buyers, traders, transporters, input suppliers, processors in agriculture value chain) Strong analytical ability, able to evaluate and to appraise critically quantitative and qualitative information. Excellent planning and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Good in Negotiation and Leadership skills.  Highly organize and capable of multi-tasking.  High level of computer literacy (primarily in Microsoft Office packages).  Fluent in Arabic and English Language (Spoken & Written)
Education: Bachelor's degree / higher diploma
