About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Petrofac Sharjah. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our software systems and ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software System Validation and Testing: Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods to ensure the quality and reliability of our software systems.
  • Software Programming Initiatives: Direct our software programming initiatives to ensure they align with our business objectives and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Documentation Development: Oversee the development of documentation to support our software systems and ensure they are easily understood by our clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals, ensuring effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Data Analysis and System Coordination: Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Software Development Lifecycle Management: Manage the software development lifecycle, ensuring that our software systems are developed, tested, and deployed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure that our software systems meet the required standards of performance and reliability.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Communicate key project data to team members and build cohesion among teams, ensuring effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute project plans, ensuring that our software systems are developed and deployed on time and within budget.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: Apply mathematics and statistics to problem-solving initiatives, developing innovative solutions to meet our company's technical needs.
  • Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures: Apply best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure that our software systems are developed and maintained in accordance with industry standards.
  • Software Testing and Quality Assurance: Test new software and fix bugs, ensuring that our software systems meet the required standards of quality and performance.
  • Future-Proofing Our Systems: Shape the future of our systems, ensuring that they remain relevant and effective in meeting the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders.
