About the Role

The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to fill the role of Applications Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of IT applications that meet the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy and Planning:
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals, and standard forms, ensuring alignment with ADAA's overall policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and update of the sections' strategic, budget, and procurement, and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the department and sector strategy and objectives, and ADAA's mission and vision.
  • Assist in the development of the section Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure to meet individual KPIs to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Operations:
  • Contribute to the design, development, and communication of IT policies, procedures, and operational standards for Applications development and configuration, and implement across ADAA to achieve maximum efficiencies and synergies in IT applications.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, monitoring, and update of all applications, projects documentation, user, and admin manuals, and guidelines to ensure up-to-date and easy accessibility of information.
  • IT Enterprise Application:
  • Develop smart technical solutions and applications that will facilitate and enhance ADAA's operations.
  • Maintain, monitor, and update systems, programs, and applications to ensure their efficiency and sustainability.
  • Carry out end-to-end application implementation, including but not limited to requirements specifications, workflow planning, testing, and pre- and post-live implementation support, and ensure alignment with the defined parameters.
  • Evaluate overall performance of the Applications Development and recommend solutions for continuous improvement of applications.
  • Execute several in-house ongoing projects to support business requirements.
  • Implement effective measures for data integrity, security, and access control to ensure data confidentiality and protection in accordance with information security standards.
  • Conduct blueprint/process workshops for architecture and application design processes, and assess and document gaps between requirements and system capabilities.
  • Evaluate the selection of enterprise solution options based on cost, quality, and technical specification parameters for review and approval.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors' degree in a relevant field
  • 5-7 years' experience in IT development
