About the Role:

The Cryptocurrency Financial Director will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and audit management, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory standards. This role requires collaboration with senior management to enhance financial processes and maintain robust financial systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with regulatory regulations overseeing reporting obligations and working closely with auditors and regulators.
  • Financial Controls & Risk Management: Implement robust internal financial controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
  • Audit & Governance: Lead internal and external audits ensuring financial records are transparent, accurate, and aligned with UAE regulatory expectations.
  • Accounting & Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and audit reports in compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.
  • Treasury & Liquidity Management: Monitor crypto and fiat liquidity to ensure efficient capital management and regulatory compliance.
  • Tax & Compliance Coordination: Work with tax advisors, legal teams, and compliance officers to manage financial obligations under regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, audit, or regulatory compliance, preferably in cryptocurrency fintech or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • CPA, ACCA, or other relevant certifications are highly preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with external auditors, regulators, and compliance teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving regulatory landscape.
