About the Role

As a Resident Engineer - Electrical, you will lead and manage all aspects of overhead transmission line projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project objectives, schedules, and budgets.

  • Develop and execute project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for overhead transmission lines.
  • Coordinate with Contractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for project implementation.
Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead construction activities, including tower erection, conductor stringing, and installation of hardware and accessories.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, HSE auditing, and reporting, quality assurance checks to monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve construction-related challenges.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, addressing technical inquiries, resolving disputes, and mitigating project risks.
  • Maintain complete project records, including technical documentation, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on overhead transmission line projects.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of transmission line design, construction, and maintenance practices, including tower configurations, conductor types, and insulation methods.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
