Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior HSE Officer to join our team in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to UAE Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) regulations, OSHAD, AD Ports Authority, and maritime safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

  1. HSE Compliance: Implement and maintain compliance with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System).
  2. Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary HSE permits, licenses, and approvals are secured for marine operations.
  3. Safe Work Procedures: Ensure compliance with safe work procedures (SWP) for dredging, piling, offshore lifting, and vessel movements.
  4. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  5. HSE Reporting: Maintain and update HSE logs, non-conformance reports, and incident records. Prepare weekly/monthly HSE performance reports for management and clients.
  6. Contractor Monitoring: Monitor contractor HSE performance, ensuring alignment with project and regulatory safety requirements.
  7. HSE Induction: Conduct HSE induction programs for all project personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years in HSE roles, with at least 5 years in maritime/offshore construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
  • NEBOSH IGC (mandatory), IOSH, OSHA, AD Ports HSE Certification (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of UAE HSE laws, ADNOC HSE guidelines, and maritime safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with HSE reporting software, MS Office, and incident management systems.
