Position Overview:

The Client of Aurawoo International is seeking an experienced Environmental Water Quality Scientist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of water quality parameters, testing methodologies, and regulatory standards, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Water Quality Analysis: Conduct laboratory analysis of water samples to determine physical, chemical, and biological parameters.
2. Equipment Operation: Operate laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and microbiological testing instruments.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines for water quality, such as those set by the EPA or WHO.
4. Collaboration and Technical Expertise: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement water management strategies. Provide technical expertise and advice on water treatment processes, pollution control measures, and remediation strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of water quality parameters, testing methodologies, and regulatory standards.
• Experience in water quality analysis, including proficiency in using laboratory equipment and techniques.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and guidelines related to water quality.
• Proficient in data analysis and interpretation using statistical software and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes and pollution control measures.
• Understanding of environmental impact assessment and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with GIS software and spatial analysis.
