About the Company

La Perle by Dragone is a world-class entertainment destination located in Dubai. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Head of Sound - Technical Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Sound in managing and overseeing sound operations, including applying corrective measures as required and collaborating with the Head of Sound to ensure the sound concept is respected.

They will also be responsible for leading the Sound Team in the Head of Sound's absence, operating all SVC show tracks during rehearsals and performances, and ensuring that all SVC systems are functioning smoothly.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for training and supervising sound technicians, inspecting and maintaining sound equipment, and keeping records of inspections and alterations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee sound operations as needed.
  • Apply corrective measures as required.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sound to ensure the sound concept is respected.
  • Lead the Sound Team in the Head of Sound's absence.
  • Operate all SVC show tracks during rehearsals and performances.
  • Ensure that all SVC systems are functioning smoothly.
  • Train and supervise sound technicians.
  • Inspect and maintain sound equipment.
  • Keep records of inspections and alterations.

Requirements:

  • College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment, theatre production, sound technology or electronics.
  • Six to eight years' experience as a Sound Engineer working in live professional performance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of digital & analogue sound equipment.
  • Good general understanding of all technical aspects of a show.
  • Able to work with a small team and take directions from HOD.
  • Flexibility, autonomy, team player.
  • Able to handle contingencies and work well under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of both Mac OSX & Windows.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
