We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our Accounts Payable team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, as well as maintaining project payable accounting records.
This is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable based on performance. We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing accounting records to ensure they are sufficiently maintained and supplier payments are prepared on time according to company policy.
- Monitoring the budget adequately, ensuring the implementation of budgetary controls and recording the invoice according to the budget.
- Providing assistance with department projects and proactively communicating with the team.
- Supporting the payable team for preparation and follow-up of Escrow payments and transfers.
- Liaising with the banks on supplier payment matters.
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable. A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA/CPA) or equivalent is preferred. Functional knowledge of Oracle System or equivalent accounting system is also required.
