We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance & Data Privacy expert to join our team. This role will be pivotal in assisting clients across various industries in establishing robust data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and leveraging data analytics to drive informed business decisions.
As a Data Governance expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures tailored to clients' specific business needs and regulatory requirements. You will assess existing data management practices, identify areas for improvement in data quality, security, lineage, and metadata management, define roles and responsibilities related to data ownership, stewardship, and accountability within client organizations.
In addition, you will establish and facilitate data governance committees and working groups to ensure effective implementation and ongoing management of data governance initiatives. You will develop and deliver training programs to educate client stakeholders on data governance principles and practices, monitor and audit compliance with data governance policies and procedures, and recommend corrective actions as needed. You will also assist clients in selecting and implementing data governance tools and technologies.
Data Privacy Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on data privacy laws and regulations relevant to the UAE, including the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other applicable international standards.
- Develop comprehensive audit plans and programs based on risk assessments, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and client-specific needs.
- Conduct on-site audits of information security controls, data privacy practices, and compliance with relevant laws and standards.
- Conduct data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with data processing activities.
- Develop and implement data privacy policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
