Job Summary

ALDAR is seeking a highly skilled Master Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for creating and refining master plans that outline the vision, goals, and strategies for land use, infrastructure, and community development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master Plan Development: Assist in the creation and refinement of master plans that outline the vision, goals, and strategies for land use, infrastructure, and community development.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform planning decisions, including demographic studies, market assessments, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and build consensus around planning initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that master plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as zoning laws and environmental guidelines.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate technical considerations into the master planning process.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Prepare reports, presentations, and visual materials to communicate planning concepts and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify opportunities and constraints.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of budgets for master planning projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Sustainability Considerations: Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into master planning efforts to promote environmentally responsible development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of master plans and recommend adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
Requirements
  • Planning Expertise: Strong knowledge of master planning principles, land use regulations, and urban development practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and synthesize information to support planning decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas and engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with planning software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD) and other tools used in the master planning process.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and develop innovative planning solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in preparing planning documents and reports.
  • Creative Thinking: A creative mindset to develop visionary planning concepts that meet community needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, urban design, or master planning.
