Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently packaging hazardous and non-hazardous materials as well as off-specification products under the guidance of a qualified chemist or supervisor.
  • Ensuring that all necessary documentation and labeling are accurately applied to containers in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Conducting site visits to client locations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Upholding cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
  • Adhering to OSHA health and safety standards.
  • Carrying out additional lab packing tasks as assigned, including de-packaging activities when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the waste management sector is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent professional experience; advanced education in Chemistry or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • A valid Class C CDL with a hazmat endorsement is required; Class B is preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary certifications, including but not limited to 40-hour HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT.
  • Ability to successfully complete a Respirator Fit Test (RFT) and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays and driving responsibilities.
