About the Role
  • The Construction Specialist will prepare and mix materials according to specifications, including mortar, paste, cement, and slacking lime.
  • They will plan work from blueprints or specifications, estimate materials, and lay out job requirements.
  • Documentation of all work performed and materials used will be a key responsibility.
  • The specialist will determine the method and sequence of work operations, quality, and size of raw stock and hardware necessary to complete assignments.
  • Minor repairs to civil structures, painting, tiling, and gypsum work will be performed by the specialist.
  • They will repair or replace concrete, terrazzo, quarry tile, wall tile, ceramic floor, and specialty floors.
  • Assistance in erecting barricades and placing warning signals around work sites will be provided.
  • The specialist will operate sandblasting equipment to smooth or prepare metal, masonry, or similar surfaces.
  • All duties and responsibilities associated with the Mason classification will be performed by the specialist.
