About the Role

As a Senior Architect - Design Leader, you will be responsible for providing design leadership and guidance to our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Leadership: Provide design leadership and guidance to our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  2. Practice Growth: Guide the growth of our architectural practice, focusing on design excellence, collaboration, and fostering a strong design culture within the organization.
  3. Design Development: Develop a portfolio of commercial architectural projects, providing design leadership while ensuring the quality of information reflects the requirements of Stantec's standard policies and procedures.
  4. Project Management: Manage the design process from inception through concept, schematic design, and detail design to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
  5. Collaboration: Coordinate with design leadership across offices to ensure best practices are achieved and the highest quality outcomes are delivered to clients.
  6. Resource Management: Coordinate across offices for resource support and management where required.
  7. Business Development: Support the local Business Center Lead and Sector Leaders with a specific focus on assisting growth in the commercial sector.
  8. Client Relationships: Help develop and maintain a network of client relationships, maintaining a pipeline of project opportunities, strategizing on project pursuits, and effective project delivery.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 12 years of postgraduate experience.
  2. RIBA/AIA Accredited.
  3. Minimum of 5 years UAE experience, preferably with International Consultancy.
  4. Fully conversant in BIM/REVIT delivery processes.
  5. Excellent knowledge of local design requirements and code (e.g. typical local municipality requirements of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, LEED or Estidama requirements, etc.).
  6. Must have client-facing experience.
