Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mobile equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with mobile equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain necessary parts and materials for repairs.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records of stocked parts and materials.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to complete maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions based on technical expertise.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following company policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures and wearing personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience diagnosing and rebuilding power train components, including internal combustion engines, transmissions, and final drive components.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics related to mobile equipment.
  • Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC-based production reporting systems applications.
