About the Role
Wood PLC is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Infrastructure Manager to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Centre. This exciting opportunity allows you to take on a leadership role in managing electrical infrastructure projects, working closely with our team of engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and designers in planning, designing, and implementing electrical infrastructure projects.
- Participate in project scheduling and review activities to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met.
- Provide engineering input during all design phases, including interpretation and challenge of international codes and standards.
- Conduct calculations and studies to finalize electrical equipment specifications.
- Prepare requisitions and technical evaluations for discipline materials and equipment procurement.
- Review vendor documents to ensure timely and quality input into design packages.
- Develop and prepare design documents, including single-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and layout drawings.
- Ensure design packages meet relevant safety, environmental, and ergonomic standards.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface during design development, review, and check processes.
- Support design and drawing office personnel with specialist engineering input.
- Review third-party discipline design work.
- Understand contract quality management systems and ensure these requirements are met.
- Participate in and sometimes lead discipline design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience, with 5-8 years in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Full understanding of international codes and standards.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
- Enthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learn, with a flexible can-do attitude.
