Job Description:

The Ontime Group is seeking a skilled Database Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for creating and modifying database schemas, normalizing and denormalizing databases, designing tables, relationships, and indexes.

You will work closely with our development team to write and optimize SQL queries, using joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions. Additionally, you will implement stored procedures, triggers, and views.

The successful candidate will have experience with database administration, including setting up and configuring MySQL servers, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning and optimization, user management, and security.

In this role, you will also connect applications to MySQL databases, use ORMs like SQLAlchemy, Hibernate, or Entity Framework, and develop CRUD operations. Furthermore, you will troubleshoot and debug SQL errors, analyze and fix performance bottlenecks, and debug application-database interactions.
