Position Overview:
The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee import-related activities, including ocean, air, and customs brokerage operations. The manager will also provide support to back-office operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in CargoWise software.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team of at least 5 individuals.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in both ocean and air logistics operations.
  • Show a minimum of 5 years of pricing experience across ocean, air, intermodal, and domestic trucking sectors.

Preferred Background:

  • 10 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of air and ocean import processes.
  • Strong grasp of customs brokerage procedures.
  • Experience in supporting back-office staff.
  • Proven staff management and training capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the US market, including rail, ports, and domestic transportation carriers.
  • Experience collaborating with a global network of offices and agents.
  • Ability to establish standard operating procedures and metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to interface with clients to assist in securing and implementing new business.
