About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Glass Facade Designer to join our team at Facade Jobs. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and efficient glass facade designs that meet the highest standards of aesthetic appeal, functionality, and structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Development: Create detailed designs and drawings for various glass facade elements, including aluminium curtain walls, doors and windows, cladding, point-fixed systems, skylights, canopies, balustrades, internal partitions, and metal work.
  2. Technical Drawing and Specifications: Utilize CAD software and other design tools to produce accurate and precise technical drawings and specifications.
  3. Performance Criteria: Ensure designs meet all structural, thermal, and acoustic performance criteria as well as relevant building codes and standards.
  4. Structural Calculations and Simulations: Conduct structural calculations and simulations to ensure the stability and performance of facade systems.
  5. Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in facade engineering and design.
  6. Quality Control: Perform quality checks on designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with the manufacturing and installation teams to address any design-related issues and ensure the highest quality of final products.
  8. Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design documentation including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  9. Project Management: Maintain records of design iterations, project progress, and changes.
Requirements

We are looking for recent graduates or individuals in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field with less than two years of experience. A strong understanding of facade engineering and design principles is essential. We are committed to teaching you all the necessary skills and are looking for a stable long-term working relationship together.
