Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients, communicating effectively via various channels.
  • Administers medication and treatments as prescribed, performing vital signs and following escalation pathways when necessary.
  • Promotes patient self-help skills and assists in developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Observes, records, and reports patients' social, medical, and psychiatric presentations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum six months' experience working in an acute mental health treatment setting within the past four years or current KP Coalition employees with waived experience requirement.
  • Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program or otherwise qualified for California licensure as a Psychiatric Technician.
  • Current Psychiatric Technician License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
