Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an independent quality system to monitor compliance with GCAA requirements. This includes developing and implementing a quality audit program to review maintenance procedures at regular intervals, ensuring compliance with all aircraft types or components maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing Quality Audit Programs: The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and implement a quality audit program to ensure compliance with GCAA requirements.
- Accessing Discrepancies: In case of reported discrepancies not addressed by relevant personnel or disagreements over discrepancy nature, the Quality Assurance Manager will access the Accountable Manager.
- Evaluating Suppliers: The Quality Assurance Manager will assess sub-contractors, external specialist services, and suppliers for quality and expertise satisfaction of GCAA.
- Maintaining Procedures: The Quality Assurance Manager will prepare standard practices and procedures derived from approved sources and keep them up-to-date.
- Certification and Approval: The Quality Assurance Manager will coordinate communications with GCAA and ensure staff records are maintained as required by CAR 145.
- Audit and Control: The Quality Assurance Manager will control certification staff approvals and maintain qualification registers as per CAR 145.
- Primary Contact: The Quality Assurance Manager will act as the primary contact with GCAA on matters concerning Company CAR 145 Approval.
- External Audits: The Quality Assurance Manager will carry out external audits for academy subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Education: An Engineering Degree and/or AME Diploma are required.
- Licenses: An AME License or ICAO Type-II Basic License is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of aviation experience in AMO/CAMO with 5 years' relevant experience and at least 2 years in an aeronautical industry position or managerial post is required.
