We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Professional in Health Sciences Emergency Medical Services to join our team at Higher Colleges of Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Training: Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs in Paramedic Sciences and Emergency Medical Services, ensuring students meet the required standards.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that aligns with international standards and accreditation requirements.
- Instructional Expertise: Provide instruction at various levels within the program areas, utilizing effective teaching methods to engage students.
- Registration and Certification: Maintain current registration as a practicing EMT according to internal standards in the country of origin/residence.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, interacting effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Paramedic Sciences/Emergency Medical Services or a relevant and equivalent discipline (Doctorate preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching/training in the area of Paramedic Sciences or Emergency Medical Services within a relevant educational/clinical setting.
- Work Experience: At least 3 years of work experience as a Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), which may include relevant experience in related disciplines such as Advanced Practice and/or Trauma/Emergency Department/Intensive Care Nursing, etc.
