Senior C++ Developer Position

We are looking for a senior C++ developer to join our team. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-throughput, low-latency applications for mission-critical trading systems and components.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of high-performance C++ applications for trading systems and components.
  2. Mentor junior developers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  3. Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the reliability and performance of trading systems and components.
  4. Participate in the design and review of new features and system architecture.
  5. Debug and optimize code for efficiency and performance.
  6. Implement best practices for software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in capital markets, brokerage, and the wider ecosystem.
  8. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the role, managing and escalating issues to senior management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in C++ development in a brokerage, high-frequency trading, financial services, or a similar environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor junior developers.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with multi-threading and network programming.
  • Knowledge of financial trading systems, protocols, and serialization formats such as FIX, SBE and FlatBuffers is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the C++11 standard or newer.
